Over the last ten years the Territory Government has reformed government and parliament processes to make the government more accountable and open.

A range of new legislation and initiatives have been introduced to achieve this:

  • Territory 2030, a vision for the Territory’s future
  • the introduction of whistleblower legislation
  • the introduction of Freedom of Information (FOI) legislation
  • the introduction of the Public Information Act
  • the establishment of the Estimates Committee
  • the establishment of the Children’s Commissioner.
