Accessible government

New technology is making government more accessible to the public than ever before. By visiting the Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory website, the public can view live audio and video broadcasts of the Northern Territory Parliament during sittings days. The Daily Hansard – an uncorrected proof of the daily report of Parliamentary proceedings – is also posted on the Legislative Assembly website. People wanting to view the proceedings first hand can watch from the Visitors’ Gallery in Parliament House in Darwin city.
